Waldhaus Opitz is located 200 m below the Schmittenhöhe and Sonnenalmbahn cable cars, about 0.7 mi from the center of Zell am See. In winter, you can ski right down to the ski room of the Waldhaus Opitz, which features a drying facility for ski boots. A ski rental is a 5-minute walk away.
